Experiences
Deep Listening Lounge is a small, mobile practice offering gentle sound bath and guided relaxation sessions for seniors, caregivers, and care settings in the Tampa/Brandon area.
We design calm, low‑impact group experiences that help people pause, settle, and feel a little more like themselves again, without needing any prior meditation experience.
Our sessions bring together mindfulness, sound-based experiences, and grounded facilitation. Shel Kimen leads guided meditation and simple grounding practices; Jason Coile creates immersive but gentle soundscapes using live instruments and layered textures. Participants can remain seated in chairs or wheelchairs, and we bring the instruments and materials needed. The focus is on comfort, nervous system regulation, mood, and connection, not performance.
We work with senior living communities, adult day and senior centers, skilled nursing and rehab, hospice and palliative programs, hospital wellness and caregiver groups, and faith or community spaces where people are carrying a lot (stress, pain, loss, worry), often quietly. Sessions can be adapted for quieter rooms, memory‑care settings, and mixed‑mobility groups, with options for 20, 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on the space and schedule.
Our approach is accessible and caregiver-aware. We use plain, non‑clinical language—seated, gentle, low‑impact, calming—and we’re as interested in supporting family and staff caregivers as we are in serving residents. Shel’s background in mindfulness and facilitation, and Jason’s lifelong sound and art practice, mean the work is both warm and well‑held. Shel also speaks conversational Spanish, and they’re committed to making these practices more welcoming for immigrant families in East Hillsborough and beyond.
We’re at an early stage of bringing this work into senior and healthcare settings in Florida, building on years of meditation and sound practice in community contexts. If you’re curious whether a small pilot or demo session might fit your residents, caregivers, or staff, we’re happy to start with something simple, light‑touch, and easy to try.

For individuals or groups seeking relief from overstimulation, disconnection, or the heaviness of transition. You’ll be invited into a sonic sanctuary where subtle shifts create deep realignments, whether personal, professional, or cosmic.
With Jason as your guide, you can expect:
Immersive sound journeys that quiet the mind and soften the body
Intentional use of instruments including singing bowls, tuning forks, handpan, and subtle electronics
Energetic Sensitivity that meets you where you are and gently resets your rhythm
A creative, grounded presence that honors spirit, science, and the unseen
You don’t need to know what you need. You just need to show up.
Together, we’ll explore how vibration and stillness can support your natural capacity to heal, integrate, and remember wholeness.

Guided Transformation
1:1 and group guidance for people in transition—career, identity, health, season of life, or all of the above.
CHAT WITH SHEL
15 Minutes, Zero Pressure
1:1 and Small-Group Guidance
Support for people whose lives are changing faster than their nervous systems.
When careers, roles, health, or seasons of life start to shift, most of us try to think our way through it. My work starts somewhere quieter: with your breath, your body, and the stories your nervous system is already telling.
Together we can…
Slow down enough to actually feel what’s happening
Learn simple tools to steady your system when it spikes or shuts down
See old patterns with a little more compassion and a little more choice
Take next steps that are grounded, not reactive
Sometimes that looks like a guided meditation with a few questions afterward. Sometimes it’s a series of sessions where we keep returning to the same knot from different angles—through breath, sound, imagery, and language—until it starts to loosen.
You don’t have to be in crisis to come. You might be:
In a job or role that no longer fits
Moving into or out of caregiving
Facing new health realities
Feeling the edges of “Who am I now?”
She’ll work at a pace that respects your life and your capacity, with just enough structure so change doesn’t overwhelm.
If you are interested in more information or to talk with Shel about the details, please drop her a line or schedule a 15 minute chat. You can also learn more about her at shelkimen.com.
Please also reach out if you are looking for private meditation and mindfulness activities for individuals and groups.
